Me :)

I'm Kate, and my brain is hardwired to be creative. I am currently 17, and at a very young age I discovered the power of writing in all its forms: creative, informative, poetic, journalistic... you name it, I loved it. Soon I discovered a passion for art, specifically sculpture and ceramics. I love the way both writing and art can get hugely powerful messages across to the masses. My love of writing and fashion journalism brought me to the UGA Journalism Academy; I am always striving to learn more. I hope to eventually double major in Art History and Business at UGA so I can one day work as a gallery curator in some of the most dizzyingly busy and exciting cities in the world - New York, Paris, Chicago, Milan. Music and fashion have always inspired me. I tend to consider fashion just another art form; music, a means of adding a soundtrack to every one of life's moments. I particularly love the culture of the 1920s-1950s as music, fashion, and life became extremely fast-paced and chivalry ruled. At the Academy, I hope to write about some of the things that inspire me most.
