Pottery and Music Articles

Art and music are two of my hugest influences. When I came to the UGA Journalism Academy, I was excited to brainstorm feature topics with my peers - it seemed that we had total freedom to choose what we wanted to write about. I chose to write an art gallery review because I am passionate about sculpture. I also sometimes feel like teenagers don't pay enough attention to art and its complexities, so I will take any chance to show them how important and influential art can be. I am also choosing songs for the mellow, beachy days of summer for a summertime playlist. I thought this would be an interesting approach to music in our newspaper because it is quick and gives people a chance to discover new music easily.
